Registering to Vote in North Carolina

Deadlines:

To vote in North Carolina 2008 Primaries : April 11, 2008
To vote in 2008 General Election : October 10, 2008

You Need:

To have been a resident of North Carolina for at least 30 days.
To be a U.S. citizen.
A North Carolina driver's license OR a Social Security card.

What to Do:

Registering to vote is easy!

Download and fill out a form at the NC State Board of Elections website. You can even fill out the form on your computer by typing in the blanks; just make sure to sign!

Then, mail the form to your county of residence's Board of Elections. Find the address here.

Note: Your residence and county of residence are based on where you live permanently, not where you attend college. Most of you at NC Wesleyan College will probably not register in Nash County.

Note: To be able to vote in the primary elections on May 6, 2008, you must choose a political party, either Democratic or Republican.
