Review your Information Requirements:

Books - Use the Library Catalog to search for books.

How to get there: (1) Library Homepage (2) Click on Find Books

◊  Books are excellent sources for finding in-depth information on a topic.

◊  Use the online catalog to find subject-specific dictionaries and encyclopedias. These are an excellent starting point for looking up words, phrases, and concepts in particular subjects. For example, an Encyclopedia of Psychology, A Handbook to Literature, or Encyclopedia of Law Enforcement.

Articles - Use article databases to find articles that have been published in popular magazines & scholarly (academic) journals.

How to get there: (1) Library Homepage (2) Click on Find Articles (3) Select databases by subject

The articles found in these databases contain information that is more current, but less in-depth, than information found in books.

The article database called CQ Researcher is a great place to find articles on Justice topics.

Internet Source

Google, Yahoo, Ask.com, Wikipedia, Dogpile, etc...you know the drill. Here is where you can find breaking news. News sources are very brief coverage of events that have happened very recently.

Most professors only accept sources from reliable websites. Use the checklist below to help you decide if a website is reliable or not.
