Dr. Anderson - ENG 230 - Your Genocide Pathfinder

The following is a collection of resources and instructions that should help you complete your pathfinder assignment related to genocide.

The assignment really requires you to use three kinds of resources: Books, Articles, and Web Resources.

BOOKS:

Tip:  Use articles to help you find citations to books that you can get via Interlibrary Loan, which is a requirement of this assignment.  Search NetLibrary on the main library web page for electronic books; these are really useful resources!

ARTICLES:

Tip:  Use an interdisciplinary database and search for keywords that will narrow to your topic.  For example, put "Rwanda" in one blank and "genocide" in another, and see what kinds of articles are available.  Remember, you have to find some articles from peer-reviewed journals and some articles via Interlibrary Loan

WEB:

Tip:  Don't just use Google!  Google may be one helpful tool, but there are many more useful ways to find credible websites.  Use the Website Checklist to help you.  Remember, you'll need to say why you selected the web resources you selected; the Website Checklist is a great way to move into that portion of the assignment.
