Plagiarism occurs in many forms. The most hotly contested formats in which one person illegally copies from another are in the forms of Audio, Visual, Digital, Internet, and Paper. These are most commonly referred to as instances of "Copyright Infringement".

  • Audio Plagiarism-This is when a person or group of people use(s) original music and presents it as their own. Even popular musicians are sued for plagiarizing the work of other musicians.

  • Visual Plagiarism-This is when a photo, video, artwork, or other visual work is published or distributed without the originator's consent. Here, a news video was shown all over the world without the cameraman's consent.

  1. Buying, stealing, or borrowing someone else's paper.
  2. Hiring someone to write a paper for your.
  3. Copying from a source without *citing* those sources

We will concentrate on Academic Plagiarism and how to avoid it!
